Terms of Use

Last updated: 28 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Screen Recorder for the use of the Screen Recorder app and this website. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

1. What Screen Recorder does

Screen Recorder records your iPhone or iPad screen, lets you react to a video with your front camera (Facecam) or talk over it (Commentary), trims videos and adds sound to them, and extracts the audio track from a video. Everything is processed on your device.

2. Your recordings and your responsibility

What you record and what you do with it is up to you, and so is the responsibility for it. You agree to record and share only what you have the right to, and specifically not to:

Some apps and streaming services block screen recording, and iOS may record their content as a black screen or without sound. That is a protection those services apply, not a fault in Screen Recorder, and we will not help to circumvent it.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old and able to enter a binding agreement, and you need an Apple ID and a compatible device. If you are using the app somewhere that requires an adult's consent for someone your age, you need that consent.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Part of Screen Recorder is free to use, with a limited number of screen recordings and uses of each tool, and a cap on recording quality. A Screen Recorder Pro subscription removes those limits and unlocks the highest quality settings.

5. Your data

Your recordings and edits are stored on your device and are yours; we claim no rights in them. How the little that leaves your device is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Because we never hold a copy, we cannot recover a video that was deleted, lost with a device or removed together with the app. Save or back up anything you want to keep.

6. Our intellectual property

The app, its name, design, text and code belong to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control; nothing else is granted.

7. Availability and changes to the app

We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering the app altogether. We try to keep everything working, but we do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Recording depends on iOS, on free storage space and on the permissions you granted, and a recording can be cut short or fail — for example when a call comes in, the device runs out of space or iOS stops the broadcast.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for a recording that failed or was lost, or for how you use what you recorded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and you may have consumer rights in your country that these terms do not affect.

9. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting the app; cancel the subscription separately in your Apple ID settings if you have one. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use Screen Recorder after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Apple

The app is licensed, not sold, to you, and the licence is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, except where these terms are more restrictive. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms? Write to us through the contact form, or from Settings → Support in the app.
